Cassini Publishing was founded in 2005 and specialises in creating historical mapping products that meet present-day research needs and expectations of quality. Our maps are ideal for family and local historians, students, walkers, homeowners – in short, for anyone who has interest in the history of their area and wishes to trace the changes that it has undergone since the Industrial Revolution.
Some aspects have changed almost beyond recognition, while others have hardly altered. Our maps help you see them all. Digitally enhanced, enlarged, exactly matching present-day OS Landranger® maps and immaculately printed, there has never been a better way of discovering the landscape of the past.
If an original map can be improved with careful digital enhancement, then we’ll do all we can to make our resulting product better and clearer without compromising the character of the original. Many of our maps have been re-projected and enlarged from their original one-inch scale so that they match modern metric mapping conventions, so allowing for easier comparisons between the past and the present. Attractive, sturdy and eye-catching covers help protect the product and convey an immediate flavour of the period. We’re also developing new ways of providing historical maps, including on CD, on DVD and on-line.
More titles and more series are being added to our list, and details will be announced on this site. If you have any comments about our current products, or suggestions for future ones, please send an email to sales@cassinimaps.com |
